The venue for the Congress will be the Museum voor Communicatie, Zeestraat 82, 2518 AD Den Haag. The museum is beautifully situated in the center of The Hague (Den Haag) at the start of the old road connecting den Haag with the sea shore at Scheveningen (approximately 5 km).
The public transit system in The Hague uses the Nationale Strippenkaart; tickets for its buses and trains can be purchased nearly anywhere: at most hotels, post offices, bookstores, etc. The system operates through the vending of ‘strips:’ a typical trip between the Hague’s zones, for example, costs about two strips—one for a ride and one more for each additional zone (so you have to know where you are going in advance of boarding). Strips can be purchased in twos or threes, or in more economical packages of 15 or 45. Day passes are also available, an excellent option for quick stints in the area.
All congress participants with a 3 day registration will receive a 15 strips “strippenkaart” as part of their congress requisites when they register.
Routes one and nine cover popular museums and attractions, while two, three, and six can get you to the Grote Markt for shopping.
The Nationale Strippenkaart passes are valid in other parts of the Netherlands, including on regional buses and trains.
